Hi everyone. In 2020, I decided to take a break from my work and relocate to the US to be with my partner. What I hoped would be a fun and much-needed break turned out to be the most stressful year of my life. I am planning to get back to work but this break has left me feeling overwhelmed and nervous. Would you guys have any advice for me as I try to get back into the workforce?😰

Hi @Atira Pradeep I hear you. I am on the same boat, recently moved back to the US (San Diego, California) after living in Mexico for 3.5 years. So I am currently reinventing myself as well. Looking back when I moved to Mexico I felt something similar, so I would like to share my two cents: a. Take this opportunity to make a change - in my case I moved from sales/marketing to business development/partnerships. Also, I moved from digital advertising to cloud (I am in tech). Additionally, being from Latin America now I can say that I know and have a network in one of the largest Spanish speaking markets in the world b. Stay connected through networking, accountability partners, emotional support friends - make sure that you stay connected even if not related to a job opportunity. c. Trust that you will be ok - seriously this sounds very simple but build a mental state where you trust that your next version will be better.
