After first round of interviewing should you reach out to possible team mates on LinkedIn/other source? View their profile, but not initiate, or non of the above?
As @Pat Miolan said, it is better to connect before interviewing but there is nothing wrong in reaching out after you have started interviewing. It is important for individuals (you) to get all the information you need to make an eventual decision. You could try to ask for the connections through the company itself first.
So Yes! You should not only view their profile but do a little research on them and reach out to them. You should reach out to them with your story of who you are, what you offer and where you are going. (You can create this through Peppercorn Discovery). You should let them know that you are reaching out to them to understand more about their experiences in the company, culture etc. Give a clear CTA (call to action).
Additionally, prior to reaching out to them, you should make sure your Linkedin is updated with your Bio (created through Peppercorn Discovery) so that they see the message you send them and your public profiles are consistent. It takes people almost 7x to remember new information and it is good for them to see the same consistent story about you in multiple places.
Great question @Jodi McCall!
